Orange Flavoured

I'd be terribly derelict in my litblogging duties if I didn't let you in on the Orange Prize Shortlist (I'm a bit late as it is, she admits shamefacedly.)

  Beyond Black by Hilary Mantel
  The Accidental by Ali Smith
  On Beauty by Zadie Smith
  Everyman's Rules for Scientific Living by Carrie Tiffany
  The Night Watch by Sarah Waters

Let's see. I've read two of the titles. Own four of them.

And the Carrie Tiffany novel had slipped beneath my radar. She may well win if the current spell of good luck for writers with an Aussie connection still holds.
