Somebody (I forget who) said som...Read it, love it. Somebody (I forget who) said something along the lines of "that's not writing, that's typing" - implying that it was a badly edited novel (or a non-novel) but I think Kerouac writes beautifully, and so wistfully too, so yes, I can understand why it would've sent many young people on the road!
