Fifty Not Out

Fifty is the perfect age to write a novel, a study of the best-selling authors of the past 50 years has shown. Apparently the average age of writers who topped the hardback fiction section of the New York Times Bestseller List from 1955-2004 was 50.5 years.

At least there's some comfort for the scribblers among us who are all too rapidly approaching the big five-0.

And of course, we have more life to write about anyway!

Sharon, it seems that someone is continually attacking your critique group on her blog, unprovoked. i cannot understand why this person wouldn't just let it rest. it is getting so bloody tiring.

the words "attention seeker" comes to mind.

Did not see anything ... maybe taken down? Attack masks fear of something, for sure. It always does.

Thanks anyway for your concern, Visitor. I must get my lazy self together to actually organise something ...

Oh yeah ... see what you mean!.

Paranoia purporting to be satire. (Not actually satire because satire is CLEVER and this is just sad ...)

yep! that you guys are actually doing something constructive about ur writings. instead of holing up somewhere with big dreams and announcing to the world at large of plans for world domination from a little unknown blog.

The link you gave led to nowhere.

visitor - you're right. Sharon is not only doing something, she's doing it for others.

It wasn't about us after all, Chet. It's taken down. (Now why should she bother to do that if she's writing about a long defuct group as she says she is ....?)

Anyway who cares???
