It fits into the bay window of the bedroom, and has a view out over Rubber Research Institute. (I need daylight!) Here's a photo:
Clutter includes:Notice the absence of a computer - this is the land of paper and pen.
- beach stones and shells and semi-precious stones (for the right energies)
- wooden hand which I bought from the Tate Gallery
- my lucky gypsy clothes peg bought from a traveller in London
- a mug of Chinese tea
- printouts of stuff I'm supposed to be working on for reading at Borders (oh ye gods, what shall I read?)
- my cheapo homemade notebooks for guiltless scribbles of nonsense
- a beautiful much too expensive notebook bound with pea-green cloth bought from Bookbinders on a day when I needed cheering up (it worked)
- gel pens of all different colours (a whole rainbow)

I've got ocd hence desk is always in a sterile condition - with a desktop and a notebook!!!! Sharon, is there a bookbinders here in Malaysia?
Oh your bay windows. So much less 'production-line', so much more quaint than mine. As for that desk -- how organized! I generally write in the study now that the flat panel monitor has freed up so much desk space, but having said that, the desk does tend to be covered with newspapers, books and gadgets. Not tidily arranged, either!

ms d, sharanya - we have slightly crossed wires here (i thought you meant someone to bind books for you) ... yes the shop called bookbinders is in bsc ... it's wonderful - all that inspiring blank paper! but the prices are frankly ridiculous ... thought that didn't stop me!!
i think there should be a locally based business producing beautiful writer's notebooks more cheaply ...

i received belated birthday presents from my friends yesterday. these are truly true friends - got journals to write my stories in!
i do agree that journals in kl are expensive though! oooeeeee!
my desk? hmmm. shower cap - so that's where it's been - books, tiger balm, newspaper clippings, contact lenses, camera, SMECTA... aiyoh. terrible!
Desks are fun. Mine has scissors, nail clippers, a clock, a biscuit, a bowl, a mugh, a plaztic mineral water bottle, name cards, a book, the water bill, a chlorine testing kit, batteries, screws, two hard disks and a marker. That's not including the PC of course.
