Poems on the Pusiy-Poesy blog include On the Death of a Favourite Cat, Drowned in a Tub of Gold Fishes by Thomas Gray which I've just put up. Machinist examines Tennyson's The Eagle, and reminisces about Plymouth Hoe. Sharanya introduces all of us to an Indian poem Things Standing Shall Fall, But the Moving Ever Shall Stay by Basava which addresses, I feel, a fundamental religious truth no matter what our faith.

The Big Bookshop at Atria is worth visiting: I picked up Julian Barnes's Arthur & George, and Rushdie's Shalimar the Perfume, sorry, the Clown, for RM24.90 each. Both in hardback, the A&G in that nice mud-coloured cloth-bound cover.
Stephen Fry's The Ode Less Travelled could be had for RM18.00 (hardback) or RM39.00 for a 7-CD audio book read by Fry. It appears to be unabridged, and I opted for the audiobook.
Other books worth getting: Ian McEwan's Saturday (hardback RM18 or US Vintage RM10), Sebastian Faulks's Human Traces (trade paperback RM18), Robert Hughes's The Fatal Shore (RM10)...

I listened to half an hour of Fry's first CD last night. He's very good. Brilliant actually. Very droll and witty. Now I want to buy the book as well, and I'm not a fan of poetry.
Pussy, hmm. I like it :) Incidentally, there's a shop in One Utama called "The Pink Pussy" or something similar :)
