Thank You, Thank You, Midnight Lily!!

A girl needs a makeover every now and then, and I was so depressed about the way this blog looked before - so generic and dull and ... bloggerly.

Some time after Midnight Lily had morphed the Visitor the moodiest, scariest dude in the blogosphere (though where has that banner gone now??) she left a wistful comment on his blog about how she longed to take the appearance of my blog in hand ...

I got in touch with her. She designed. I suggested. She tweaked.

And here it is. I absolutely love it!

Hey, nice header! Bright and breezy, but I think if you size it down a little, it'll look even better.

Hi! Changes are good. Spells fresh to me.

Hey, how about putting your caricature on the header?

Yeah - I agree - should have Sharon's caricature on the banner.

Aminah! You got it right! That's Dora. I was figuring for a long time until you mentioned Dora. Anyway, everyone loves Dora and everyone loves Sharon.

You're a lucky girl, Sharon, that's a great makeover, I really, really like it! :)

I'm scheduled to have one around the end of October - I can't wait!

Hi Sharon,

Beautiful header. Perhaps now you want to change the colour of the top bar (suggestion: silver?) and also the colour of this background to something lighter than dark blue.
=)

I haven't been here for awhile, and what a surprise! I actually like it. Is that your real bookcase in the back there? Lovely. You've helped me keep in touch with all the great literature in English out there, as well as other literary issues. Keep up the great blog!
