Bibliobibuli - in The Guardian!!!!

Wow! My blog post on the Zadie Smith article the other day, got quoted in the Guardian, my favourite newspaper for its literary pages. This is actually the second time that this has happened (the first time was back in October 2005 when I was reflecting on the results of the Booker Prize).

Many thanks to Rob Spence for taking the trouble to rummage through his recycling pile and scan the column so I could see it. I'm excited, not just for the few seconds of fame, but because although I live so far away, my thoughts and comments can be part of the conversation. What did we do before the internet?

Incidentally, the second part of Zadie's article can be read here.

WOW!! You can now drop remarks like, "Oh as The Guardian quoted me the other day...".
You need to get the hard copy somehow!

Sharon: I laud you loudly for your lucidity. Your comment's crisp and succinct!

To be quoted albeit a scintilla on the blog of Guardian Unlimited which is one of the most established online newspapers, IS a BIG F***ING DEAL in a itself!

It is my favourite website for anything and everything!

Well! MY blog was mentioned in an article by an Italian journalist who publishes in La Stampa.

It was a nice surprise, I must admit. And the post she quoted was one I'd never dream would attract such attention. Shows the power of serendipity. You never know what's going to press peoples' buttons.
