January Readings ... and a Cry for Help

The next “Readings” will be held on Saturday 27th January, 2006 with the aim of giving established and aspiring writers a platform for their work, and encouraging networking.

Time: 3.30pm (starting promptly!)

Also hey, can you give me a bit of help? We've managed thus far without a microphone. The space is small and intimate, but unfortunately the traffic and the elements sometimes kick up a din outside and some readers have quieter voices.

I am prepared to buy a mic, but need something that is light and portable and totally totally idiot proof. What equipment would fit the bill, where would I buy it, and better still, could some kind person step in and take this worry away from me somehow??
