Just Plain Potty!

Goodness. UK book retailer Waterstone's, realising that fans are going to be somewhat distraught when the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is launched on July 21st are setting up a helpline.

Two of the characters (we don't know which yet) are due to meet an untimely demise. One could well be the boy wizard.
This could be a similar moment to when Take That split up
said a Waterstone's spokesperson, anticipating emotional trauma of staggering proportions.

The book is already at the top of the best seller list in the UK thanks to the number of pre-orders received, whilst the adult version of the book occupies the no. 2 slot!

I actually love Rowling. Not only for being patron saint of getting kids to read and keeping them hooked, but also for generating lots of lovely cash for publisher Bloomsbury, which has allowed the company to take risks on more non-mainstream titles.

Are we getting the book in KL on the same date or later? Thanks for letting me know

I still think that Rowling woman must be nuts to kill Harry. But like all good characters, the writer loves to kill them.

I m sorry to hear about someone are making money from your contents, Sharon. That is really disgusting!

Now, justice for Sharon!

I don't mind Potter, if nothing else, for instilling the reading habit in kids who otherwise can't be pried away from their game consoles. But I would be concerned for those same kids if they read NOTHING but Harry Potter, re-reading the older books while waiting for the newest one, which is then read at least thrice.
As for adults who read only Potter, dress up as Dumbledore during book signings and discuss the intricacies of Quidditch, now that's a lot that need help: Qualified, Profesional Help of the Psychiatric Kind!
