Writers Read

As Saul Bellow once observed:
A writer is a reader moved to emulation.
Britlitblogger Dovegreyreader reviews The Gift of Rain and interviews author Tan Twan Eng about the books that have shaped him.

Of course, an author has to give the right answers when asked such questions. The photo I snapped in MPH shows him with the backdrop of his preferred reading matter.

Will he be having some local promotional activities for his book? Haven't heard of much yet.

And this looks suspiciously like another one of your "shock-and-awe" photo-ops, Sharon... ;)

Is the book actually out yet? There hasn't been much buzz other than the Starmag pullout you did (which I had to read online cos I forgot to buy the paper that day).
