A Picture Paints a Thousand Words at MPH

A couple of dates for your diary.

MPH Bookstores invites you to The KL Writer's Circle, which this month which focuses on producing photographic books, and getting photographic jobs for books.

The speakers are Omar Ariff who produced Pusaka Bumi - Malaysia's Legacy of Nature (a stunningly beautiful collection of photographs which I covet with all my heart!) and Mohana Gill, who wrote Fruitastic! and Vegemania, two very different cookbooks.

The Breakfast Club for Litbloggers this month features Choong Kwee Kim who has just published her first illustrated book, Ah Fu the Rickshaw Coolie and Daphne Lee, whose recently published children's books include 1 Red Flower.

sharon, there will be another book - lots of beautiful photographs on malaysians by Steven Lee in London and text by Haliza Hashim also from london. The coffee table book will be launched in KL on 23rd October - I think. Look out for it.
