Is that Trajan (the most overused movie font, like, ever!)?

:)

Sorry for being an ass, but there's a typo on the flyer. It's spelled as "Shinji Moriwaki" not 'Sinji'. Yes, I'll be there, too. =)

thanks suffian.

Aiya... should I go to a post-Christmas lunch or this one?... Which one?... Maybe Readings can be 2008 resolution.

Shinji Moriwaki is a Hip Hop/Drum 'n Bass MC who is into politically-charged/socially-conscious rhymes in spoken word. He performs with local hip-hop/dnb groups like The Works and The Rebel Scum. Check out his profile on Virb!

We drove about 250 km today to hear AG read A Word in the Head, among other things. Really worth it. It was ssebak and "sejuk telinga mendengar".

suffian - many thanks. looking forward to hearing shinji read again.

What book? You talking to me, right? Not to to Amir Muhammad, or Amir Yusoff?

I didn't do no book. Movies, yeah - filming in June and probably signing a multiple movie deal - but no book.

there are way too many amirs and you keep tripping over each other. all of them seem to be bent on world conquest in one way or another. (can we make any other genralisations about amirs?)

i was actually referring to the amir just above the last comment who signs himself malaysian in riyadh.

so malay male amir 1) not everything is about you 2) i think you'd write a novel i'd like to read 3) see you saturday

Ah, thought as much. Was worried that some people are publishing books with my name on them.

Could have saved them all the trouble if I told them that only one person would ever buy books written by me.

See you Saturday, Sharon. Will write the thing that I will read on Friday, as usual.

bibliobibuli said...

only one person? aiyoh man, you think i'm your only fan???

no books but one newspaper is published daily with your name on it. did you know?

And I can't wait to hear more! With lots of pix? Rox.

Sharon, thanks so much for being a cordial host today. As "requested" i am leaving my 1st ever comment here after being a silent now-n-then reader all these while. Really enjoyed the reading session. Saw uncle patrick walking outta the door with chet, but he looked a bit worried. Later on chet told me one of his kids was sick. No wonder he left in a hurry.

I hope to join those sessions again in the future.

rox - yes, pics are coming

manal - many thanks for coming ... and for leaving a comment at long last :-D
