The second Festival of Asian Literature will runs from May 12-23 at Asia House which Binyon describes as :
... a vibrant new cultural centre, is fast emerging as London's cultural window on a continent, one that is fast emerging as the main showcase of the arts, films, music and literature of India, China and some 30 other countries from Indonesia to the Gulf. The 11 day event brings together some major Asian authors including Mohsin Hamid, Amitav Ghost, Shashi Tharoor, Pankaj Mishra, Xinran, Diane Liang Wei, as well as Malaysian author Chiew-Siah Tei , who was longlisted for the Man Asian Literary prize.
I am terribly jealous of those who will get to go!
