I only received two books for Christmas, Nigella Lawson's from Saras to turn me into a domestic goddess, and the Murakami diary from those kind folks at Times bookshop (I wasn't hinting, honestly!!!), but I am grateful for the books I have been receiving from all quarters all year round.
