Elizabeth Browning's How do I love thee greeted me. Alas, am busted for being a foolhardy romantic. What to do, what to do.

I am 'pining for someone'.
Ack!

More like my muse who was naughty and told my notebook not to boot...

Come back! I'll start eating chocolate again, really!

i got The Wasteland!

i love the Wasteland! Ok, no...i lie. i only love the famous part -

" .......what have we given?
My friend, blood shaking my heart
The awful daring of a moment's surrender
Which an age of prudence can never retract
By this, and this only, we have existed
Which is not to be found in our obituaries
Or in memories draped by the beneficient spider
Or under seals broken by the lean solicitor
In our empty rooms"

Hmm, it actually randomises poetry so you won't get the same poem if you take the quiz again. That, I did and got Shakespeare's Sonnet XXIX.

"Haply I think on thee, and then my state,
Like to the lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth, sings hymns at heaven's gate;
For thy sweet love remember'd such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings."

So, dz, you're not the only hapless romantic.

Hmmm ... I keep getting different poems too ... the last one was To a Fish by James Leigh Hunt.

I think I know a leetle more about you all now ... ;-D

I wish I loved the Human Race;
I wish I loved its silly face;
I wish I liked the way it walks;
I wish I liked the way it talks;
And when I’m introduced to one,
I wish I thought "What Jolly Fun!"

-- Sir Walter Raleigh

"Do not go gentle into that good night" -- Dylan Thomas

Okay I cheated.. but I like those poems :)
