Oh No, Not Another Warehouse Sale!

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, bookshops with sharp teeth are ready to snap you up again.

Neither my sanity, nor my wallet will stand for it, but it seems that Times is having its "year end warehouse sale".

For the foolhardy and full of wallet, here're the details:
Date: 15th Sept - 24th Sept 2006 (15th Sept - TPC Member Special Preview)
Time: 12pm - 8pm (preview & weekday) 10am - 8pm (weekend)
Contact: 012-608 3569
Venue: 2nd Floor, Dataran Hamodal, Block A, (same street as F&N Dairies), Jln Bersatu 13/4, Seksyen 13, 46200, PJ (see map below)

Haven't these guys ever heard of warehouse sale fatigue??

i think they timed it to attract employees of The Star. they just got their ex-gratia bonus, and it's located near their office.

Ripley's believe it or not.

hey, didn't Pay Less make u guys "payless" now? still got money ah?

Poor cats.

Is this near the Castell's roundabout?

For once, I hear about a warehouse sale before it's too late.

I didn't go to the Payless sale - was too lazy to travel down to Brickfields from PJ.

I hope this sale is good, but at the same time I'm not putting my hopes up.

this is irrelevant, but i wonder what people think about jose saramago's 'blindness' being made into a movie? i remember him saying something to the effect that blindness cannot be made into images.

I've just gotten back to kl after a few years and I was wondering if the Times warhouse sales are worth picking my jet lagged self up and going across town?

bibliobibuli said...

Burhan - actually it is a very good question, though it might be a bit lost in the comments here. i should put it in a post ...

sniggerz - the warehouse sales vary in quality ... why don't you hang on and see what folks report once the sale opens. anyway, get over your jetlag first so you can enjoy the experience!
