Blogging for Writers

Goodness. Almost forgot to blog this. (No reminding email received from MPH to jog my memory!)

Tomorrow's Writer's Circle deals with Blogging for Writers. The blurb from the events calendar reads:
Meet several experienced writers-cum-bloggers while they share how blogging benefits the by developing their writing skills further; serves as a platform for exchanging ideas about writing and publishing and for the general public to view their work.
Several high profile bloggers will be there including - ahem - yours truly. And Ted Mahsun and Nizam Zakaria and Lydia Teh.

The lovely David Byke will be keeping us all in order!

Venue: The Booker Room, MPH 1 Utama
Time: 11.00 - 1.00
Free and open to all.

You didn't get the reminder email? MPH sent it out just now (including to your address).

Anyways, just wanted to say I won't be able to come. Off to Johor for me. I've already emailed MPH to tell them but I'm not sure if they got my email.

And since when did I become high-profile? *blush blush*

SHARON. I wont be able to make it tomorrow, sweet ma'am. I have some medical seminar to attend till the end of the month :( but I will keep reading your blog to keep up with the local bookish crowd!

Oh NOW they hold this session. I was back in Malaysia for a month over December but no, they have to hold it AFTER I've gone back halfway across the world. Great.

Why, MPH, WHY?!

So sad unable to come, Sharon. Am working full day both Sat & Sun -- my company's having a seminar and I have to be there or the participants won't have anything to eat for tea! (Yes, I'm in charge of getting the food, among other things. I'm buying all the stuff I like to eat. Hahaha.)

This is one reason why I wish I live in KL.

Hello Sharon,

Yesterday was probably a fateful day for me. The previous two days I thought of a hundred excuses not to attend.

I'm sure glad I attended! I came home and started writing! What a therapeutic exercise it was. I managed to exorcise some pesty demons from the seat of my soul. Now I'm completely free and looking forward to set the whole world on fire!

Thank you MPH. Thank you to all of you.

Hugs,

Does anyone know of there being any plans to have a repeat, etc. of this event elsewhere in the country (e.g., *ahem* Penang)? ;S

A repeat may not be possible, but approaching MPH in Penang to hold similar events with local writers might be worth looking into.

ystl - just suggest it to mph penang or contact the marketing dept here. hold your own event. you have plenty of talent up there. mind you, you might well be the right person to organise it!
