One Disaffected Bookseller

As promised. You can listen here to a BBC World Service special on the launch of Harry Potter 7, and a certain "disaffected" bookseller from Bangsar telling it as it is!

Rowling apparently has a great deal of gratitude for independent booksellers. What a pity the marketing behemoth now excludes the very people who stood by her books in the early days.

Great, Raman!

It is always so inspiring to find some believe in something and stand by it in this world where we alter with every opportunity.

It does matter whether you aree with his views o no, the act itself needs applaud.

Lets put it this way. Some people love something too much until it hurts to see them having that freedom ... stand by me? ... lol ...

Anyway, it is good to see that the author decide to kill off the main character from what I understand. To me that is good if it happens and let the story live on instead of the character ...

Part of me do agree that Harry Potter is kind of monotonous. Then What do I know? I only read the first book, which I always end up late for work because of it. Just joking?

... and just a thought ... :)

What's wrong with Hello Kitty?

animah - according to Mr R, Hello Kitty is a little less sophisticated than HP?

Hello Kitty is for four year olds. I know this because Hello Kitty stamps and stickers are mysteriously appearing on my walls.
Harry Potter is for 10 year olds and those who would like to be 10 (that includes me) so yes, HP is more "sophisticated" or shall I say more "mature" than HK.
In my view SpongeBob is more sophisticated than HP, and I like him too.
Gucci is more sophisticated than SpongeBob and HP.
Jimmy Choo is more sophisticated than Gucci, Spongebob, HP and Hello Kitty.
I think Raman may like Jimmy Choo.

British understatement lives on. I'm always surprised at how they can say so little and mean so much.

PS. I hope they live happily ever after too :)
