Ten Best Reads About Asia

Tan Twan Eng recommends ten best reads from "the other side of the world" on the Book Depository blog - and it's a very interesting and eclectic list which includes some of my favourites (A Thousand Years of Good Prayers, Out in the Midday Sun, An Artist of the Floating World and of course The Malayan Trilogy) and some I haven't got round to yet. Do go take a look!

Can anyone recommend what would be a good Malaysian story to be adapted into a play?

Out in the Midday Sun is good! Glad to know that there are still people reading and appreciating the works of Han Suyin. She has written a breathless series of books. True, they are hard to read but well worth your effort and time.
