More Holiday Reads

More summer reading suggestions, this time from The Times which lists 100 best holiday reads, including plenty of good fiction. (See also.)

Two Caravans by Marina Lewycka (Penguin £7.99) From the author of A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian, a spirited black comedy about the lives of immigrant fruit pickers in Kent

will look -up for this book.
when i was a student in kent i used to pick strawberries during summer break with poor whites and gypsies.

is it any good?

i don't borrow or lend books. how about exchanging it with my still unread hardback 'kalooki night'?

we'll do the exchange over dinner if you wish. (but have to be sometimes in mid july onwards). travelling to southern phillipine next week...and watching olympics mid august...lucky me.
