Was so happy to spot Kaykay's first ever published book review in StarMag today, giving his take on John Connolly's Lost Things. I poked, prodded and provoked him into sending in a review because he writes so well and I love to hear what he says about books in our Book Club meetings ... particularly when he doesn't like 'em. You really should hear him on Kiran Desai!
You want to write reviews too? Just get to it! The more of you the better.

That was an excellent book review, Kaykay. Balanced and fair, it has necessary and riveting details as well as your overall impression. Your writing gives readers room to judge for themselves if they will read the book or not.

With Bibliobibuli behind me, how can I go wrong? Thanks for the support girl, was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing it. Have sent them a few more, hopefully they'll be published as well.
And thanks for your comments Lou, it was easy to be balanced and fair for this book as I'm a huge Connolly fan and liked the book overall. As Sharon said, you should hear how I rip into the ones I don't like!
you're great fun on the one's you don't like ...
i love the way that everyone holds their breath when it's your turn to comment ...
And I was looking for the biting remarks...
OK Kaykay, my turn to fulfill my side of the bet. What was I supposed to read again?
YOU, Animah,were supposed to:
a) Read The Black Dahlia (Completely, no skipping or skimming allowed)
b) Show up for the next meet and tell us what you thought of it.
You can even write a biting essay on it, a la Red Dragon:-)
