Cosy Reading Corners

Because I haven't much time or mental space to blog anything more meaningful at the moment, thought I'd leave you with photos of a couple of places where some kind people set up areas where folks can sit and read without having to join any library.

Let's turn this into a mini-quiz - do you know where (in the Klang Valley) these places are?

Reading Corner 1

Clue: This is in a space dedicated to the arts.

Reading Corner 2

Clues - here's everything you need to know about foreign travel, the muffins are great and Sharanya hangs out here a lot.

If you know of any other reading spaces, or if you have set one up yourself, take a photo and I'll post it up.

hi Chee - so very glad you dropped by here and saw your cafe. i love your place because i don't feel out of place with a book, the coffee is great as is the food (esp the pick your own breakfast) and it's just by my house. i do wish more cafes set up reading spaces like this.

if you want cheap travel books there are some wonderful ones at big bookshop warehouse sale in atria, at the moment. i like the fact that you have fiction too ...

Hi Bibliobibuli,

Your appreciation for the cafe is very very much appreciated(!) I've recently bought 3 boxes of books from the sales in Atria, but have yet to find time to wrap each and everyone up (to prevent soiling). Hope I can find the time to get to that soonest possible, or find a way to sweet talk my mum & sis to do that :) Thanks again for the recommendation. Cheers.

i need my books covering too! was thinking of getting one of my students to do it for me!

According to Eric Forbes, Kinokuniya has a free book-wrapping service for books purchased from them. And if you bring books for them to wrap, they will charge you RM1/- per book. He had some with him and they were well-wrapped.

kino only wrap their new own books and charge RM1 for that. they do it very well.

i am slowly covering my books and it people borrow them, i hand them a roll of plastic so they come back covered.

students are still the most exploitable. and actually priya k promised to come and do some for me when she isn't too busy.
